About the BYATA Industry Tracker

In 2014, a need was identified by BYATA members to have a programme of research specific to the industry in order to have relevant and accurate business performance information and benchmarks by which to compare themselves with the sector as a whole.

In response to this need, BYATA contracted Angus & Associates to identify key business performers for the industry and a research programme to confidentially collect and provide relevant benchmarks.

This research programme, the BYATA Industry Tracker, has been live for nearly 1 year, and on a monthly basis, participating BYATA members contribute a handful of key performance indicators via a secure online process. This data is compiled to provide one benchmark for all BYATA members as well as individual monthly reports comparing performance against the benchmark. And, on a quarterly basis, participating BYATA members also receive a detailed report with key insights and trends.

Confidentially is guaranteed. All information provided is treated in the strictest of confidence by Angus & Associates – and no individual data is shared with any other members of BYATA nor any BYATA board members. Detailed information is available on the privacy policy of Angus &Associate's online data collection system, getsmart.

Currently nearly 25% of BYATA members participate in the BYATA Industry Tracker on a regular basis, and the aim is to increase regular participation to 40% of members by the end of 2015 and 50% of members by 30 June 2016.
