SAVE THE DATE - BYATA Conference
27/05/2016
The 7th Annual BYATA Conference is a little earlier this year – 31st August & 1st September and will be based in Auckland. The theme is Sharper Tools, Better Results
The 2016 BYATA Conference is all about an extension of the very successful, very hard-hitting 2015 conference – the Value Revolution. Which addressed the more optimistic climate of the tourism industry, how forecasts were positive and how to add actual real-world value to businesses. The relaxed yet challenging way we ran this event went down extremely well, the speakers were entertaining, critical when justified and thought-provoking whilst keeping true to the fairly informal and fun nature of the backpacking industry.
Whilst last year focused on providing delegates with insights and information, this year will focus on utilising valuable tools to create higher productivity. It’s all about ‘Sharper Tools, Better Results’ a form of ‘Do Less, But Better’ converting the resources we have to be more efficient tools in business.
“Simplicity is the soul of efficiency†according to Austin Freeman but how can our industry incorporate this into day-to-day business life, how can we do less but better, work smarter not harder? What does that mystical 4-hour work-day week look like? These are the questions we want to address, answering how delegates can internally increase efficiency in their businesses by not working as notoriously hard as they do. Efficiency is not always relevant to every aspect of business but how do we embed this concept into our teams and what topics can to be addressed.
Every business has under utilised resources. Our challenge is providing insights, evaluations and ultimately educating delegates on what is possible - to help create the questions we should ask ourselves in order to move forward.
