BYATA name industry stalwart as inaugural President.
The Backpacker Youth Adventure Travel Association (BYATA) have this week confirmed the appointment of industry stalwart Brian Westwood as their inaugural President.
Brian has previously been a board member and chair of BYATA and is keen to lend his expertise in these unprecedented times. “Youth Tourism is the most important tourism segment of our time as we strive to rebuild this industry. BYATA's dynamic, energetic and talented board, made up of key industry leaders, is firmly focused on meeting our future challenges and opportunities head on. It is an absolute privilege to join them†states Mr Westwood.
Board Chair Chris Sperring is also excited to welcome Brian to this newly created role stating that his expertise, long earned through experience needs to be utilized help usher in a new era for youth and adventure travel.
Brian has already begun his tenure as President by joining our May Board Meeting and will be an integral part of BYATA moving forward.
